One of my sorority sisters is getting married this weekend so I wanted to give her a special card. I had played with a completely different card design and it just was not up to the standards I was hoping for. My husband (man I love him) said that maybe I should focus on something Pink and Blue since those are our colors. Brilliant and inspiration hit me. I wanted to keep this card really simple and I didn’t want to add a sentiment (Shocker I know). So this is what I cam up with:
I used the Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper to give the background an antique type of feel to it. I then used a sponge and some blushing pink to give it some texture. I didn’t want it to be even because again I was going for a more aged look. Actually I feel like it looks like the wall paper that you see when you walk into old antebellum homes in the south. So much history and charm there… exactly what I was going for and how I feel about my sister. The pink heart represents the bride and I used rhinestones to give it a necklace type of feel. I then used Bow Builder punch to make the bow.. in retrospect I shouldn’t have added the tails to it but I like it.
This card was a challenge for me maybe because I was having creative block (is that a thing??) but I liked the finished product and hopefully the Bride will love it too.
I hope that this Hump Day finds you well. I would appreciate your comments, any follows on social media, or even a purchase of all our lovely products. This is a great time to stock up on Designer Series Paper too since we have a buy 3 get 1 free deal going on that includes 2 different packs out of the holiday catalog
.
Have a beautiful day!
