With Sympathy

Life is truly a precious thing and sometimes the ones you love the most end up taking their last breath on Earth way to soon. This card is being sent to a family friend of ours that has now lost her father to a short battle with cancer. DSCN1147

How I put this card together was fairly simple. I cut down a piece of the English Garden paper to the size card I wanted (something around 5.5 X 8 and then folded the 8 inch side in half) then I cut down a piece of Whisper White paper so that I could use that as my base. Thankfully our Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set has really lovely saying that put into words what I can never come up with on my own. I decided on the sentiment above because the family member our friend lost was her father. I used the gold embossing powder and the heat tool so that it would have a little shine to it. Then I used the Sprinkles of Life Stamp set to put on the tree and flowers. This stamp set is so special because $3 of every stamp purchased goes to the Ronald McDonald house. To make it look like it was grass I used the aqua pens and just painted onto the paper. We do have special water color paper that works really well so that you do not get folds from the paper getting wet but I made that decision after I was almost done so this is what I have.

Both of these stamp sets are really great to have on hand already so that way you can just put together a card whenever you need to. A list of supplies is at the bottom of the post.
