Wow time is really flying for me lately with all these weddings on the horizon. This past weekend I had the pleasure of watching one of my friends marry her best friend. It was truly a special evening at a lovely TN venue. My friend is very girlie so when I was thinking about the type of card that I should make for her I knew I wanted to use the Rose!! Of course I had to make a coordinating envelope to also go with this pretty card.
Technique that was used:
Embossing: I first stamped using my Versa Mark pad and then used the Gold Embossing powder over the rose. This gave a nice little shine to my card and also gave a raised edge.
Water Coloring: I used my aqua pens (these are seriously a great item) and then took the blushing bride color and water colored my rose. This gave my rose a little bit of extra dimension in the flowers.
Markers: For the leaves I just used our Mint Macaroon Markers and colored them in.
Accents: Finally I used smome of our pearls to add a touch of elegance in the middle of the rose and 2 on both the W and S of WISHES (in blue)

Wow last week was crazy with my regular job and making Mother’s Day cards! So one of the guys at my regular job has a birthday coming up and I decided to make him a card. Cards for men are a challenge but I was inspired by some things on Pinterest and decided that I would go with a travel theme.
I made an odd size card which I think came out to be a 51/2 by 41/2 or something like that. Math was not my strong point when I was making the card and when I started looking at it a little more I decided that I liked it and was going to keep it. The base was the grey from the Timeless Elegance cardstock pack. I then used the Mint Macaroon and to give my card another layer. I loved the airplane from the Sale-A-Bration Sky’s the Limit so I decided to use that. The rest of the stamps and all the other supplies I used are listed below. Please make sure to check out my Online Store to get your order in.
Also we only have 1 more day to get your Paper Pumpkin subscriptions in before May 10!! YOU won’t want to miss having this great set.
Have a great Monday!
So Stampin’ Up! to me is so much more than just making fun projects with stamps or even having a business, it is about the relationships that I am building. So this post is all about my amazing upline Phyllis (and I know she will be reading this) and the project is the card that I sent her.
So this card says it perfectly because I wanted to thank her for well everything!!! I met Phyllis because I decided I wanted to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and I wanted to turn this into something great. So I searched for who was near me and looked really active (I was living in Newnan, Ga at the time) and I found Phyllis. I emailed her (and funny story she thought I was a robot) but thankfully she emailed me back, we met for dinner that next week, and I signed up. So here we are 6 months later and I just promoted up to Silver in Stampin’ Up! (WHOOOO HOOO) and Phyllis has been my cheerleader every step of the way. My hope is that I can be half as amazing as she is and if you join my team she will be like your grandmother in the Stampin’ Up! realm. Which our family tree is pretty amazing just saying.
Back to the card: I used the pastel yellow as the base card, then took one of the flower papers from the English Garden (My favorite pack so far) and then I used the extra flowers from the December Paper Pumpkin, Washi Tape on the tag, and a flower medallion punch, the extra stamps from April’s Paper Pumpkin, and lastly a little bit of jewels because I know Phyllis would love it. I also made the matching envelope using the envelope paper (super amazing make sure to get it)
