NC Demo Hop: Techniques

Hello!!! I am so excited to be joining the NC Demo’s on another hop. This is a fun hop because we are going to be sharing amazing techniques. If you are already a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in NC I hope that you will join us next week. If you would like more info about becoming a demonstrator please let me know.

The technique that I used was the Embossing Paste. This is a great and easy technique to use and learn on. It is also cost efficient and you can make a ton of card quickly and easily. I used the embossing paste, palette knives, and party decorative masks and then mixed in some gold glitter and flirty flamingo ink refill. Add as much of the glitter and the ink as you want and as dark as you want and then take your paste and spread it evenly over your mask and paper. For my paper I used Real Red and my card base was Night of Navy.

For the sentiment and stamp set I used the hostess exclusive stamp set Merry Patterns. I absolutely love this stamp set and so glad that I finally have it in my hands. You can get it for FREE if you host a party that earns $300.. how cool is that. I also used my favorite framelits, the stitched framelits, which really are a must have if they are not already part of your collection.

This card was really simple to put together and it reminds me of Christmas in Europe. Very simple but oh so elegant. I hope that you will continue to join us on our hop and head over to the next blog.

Make sure to go and hop over to Tamra!!

Paper Flock Hop: Fall in 3D

Hello!!! And welcome to our first ever Paper Flock Hop! This hop is comprised of Phyllis Shepherd’s Stampin’ Up! Team members and I am so excited to share all the creations that we have came up with. For the first ever theme we are doing Fall in 3D and show casing items that you can use for fall. I hope you will join us from here on out and make sure to hop along to everyone.

For my project I decided to create a fun box that you could give away at your Halloween party. These would be so great for all the treats you want to hand out. I learned how to create this fun box at the Quarterly NC demonstrator event that I went to. We will also be doing something similar to these at my Retreat in October.

So what you will need to do is take a 6X6 sheet of paper. Using the envelope punch board (item #133774) punch and score on 3 sides at 2 and 4 inches. on the 4th side just punch at the same measurements. You then cut the top of the treat box so that it is flush with the rest of the box (basically the top triangle). And then cut the opposite side on the score lines to the end of the score. You then just put the box together and use your favorite adhesive to stick it all together. If you enjoyed this project I will do a Facebook Live video in my VIP Group that you are welcome to join.

If you want to join our hop you can either join Phyllis’ team or my team and you will be invited to join. Our next few hops are as follows:

I hope you have enjoyed this project and will continue to hop along. Up next is

Upcoming Events

There are so many events going on that I felt it was a good idea to put them all into one blog post.

The first thing that I want to remind you all about is my retreat that is coming up October 21. This will be in Charlotte, NC and space is limited. The cost is $40 which is a great price for an all day event and the projects we are going to make. Make sure to RSVP ASAP before space fills up.

Also have you seen where we are going in 2019 for the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip??? We are doing the Greek Isle and I am working towards earning it. The other great thing is that you can join now and start off the the new Stampin’ Up! year with me. It is only $99 to start and you can put anything you want in your starter kit.

I am super excited for this amazing and exclusive stamp set just for Hostess. You can get it for FREE when you host a party with me. As a special bonus I am also putting together little kits of our ink spots and ink for you. Let me know when you want to host. You can either host virtually or in person if you are in Charlotte, NC.

Much Love!

Product Spotlight: Cat Punch

I am here for another blog hop with the great ladies of the incentive trip. Today we are spotlighting the cat punch and I love this product so much. This card was inspired by my Sissi cat and our gold fish Anchor. When I moved to MD and Drew and I moved in together Sissi loved to sit and watch Anchor. She also tried to catch him and provided hours of enjoyment. We had a secure lid on him so she was never able to actually get to him. Anchor died of old age last year and Sissi laid besides his tank for like a week. It was so sad.

Here is the inside of my card:

To get the water effect I placed my vellum paper into pool party. If you do this you do have to leave it to dry for about 10 minutes.

I also wanted to remind everyone that sign ups for my October retreat is now open. This will be a fun day and everyone is welcome to join both demonstrators and customers. If you are in the Charlotte, NC area and would like to join make sure to RSVP soon.

Make sure to keep hoping along and visit  Teresa Snyder-Granberry to see what she created for us!

Also if you are joining me from Christy Fulk I appreciated you stopping by.

Spotlight: Vintage Crochet Trim

I am very excited to be joining another blog hop. This week’s blog hop is with a great group of Demonstrators that are striving to reach the Greek Isles Incentive trip! If you want to join me on this amazing trip I would love to hear from you! I am using this door as my inspiration since my quote this year was “Doors will open for those brave enough to knock.” How true is that!!

So today we are focusing on the Crochet Trim which is sooooo great and easy to work with. I needed to whip up these tags so I was able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone!! Yay for productivity. These tags would be great for a bottle of wine for a friend, attached to coffee also as a gift, or even as party favors for a Halloween party. They were also super quick and easy to put together with the Copper Embossing powder taking the most time.

I had seen a few weeks ago the idea from one of our Artisian Designers that they used a small thinlit from a different set to create a hole. I used this same concept above. Can you guess which set I used for the hole?? Hint: There are a lot of hot air balloons in it, comment below if you know the answer. I also used our Washi Tape which I absolutely love!

I hope that you enjoyed this project. I am excited for you to continue hoping on!

Also I have a lot of events planned for the next few months and I would love for you to be part of them. One of the events is my retreat. This will be a great day to come and relax and create some projects. I always love choices and I want to ensure that you have choices when you create a project so you will be able to tailor everything to you. I also know that budgets are always tight soo I priced this to be only $40. Make sure that you share this special event with your friends because if you bring a friend you both will get to make a special project that only bring a friends can do.

Speaking of specials did you know that this exclusive stamp set could be yours when you host a qualifying party? How cute is this! Ready to book your party today? Make sure to email me info ( I add the space to remove all the spam that gets sent)

Finally if you are putting in a purchase this month please make sure to use my hostess code on any orders placed under $150.

I hope you have a wonderful evening and thank you so much for stopping by. Make sure to hop along!

The next one on the list is Teresa Snyder-Granberry

Happy 1 Year Anniversary

Hello all!!

Today is a special day for me and Drew. We are celebrating 1 year of marriage. It has been an amazing and crazy year full of lots of adventures. I wanted to share with you all a fun re-cap of the year. I hope you enjoy

We got married in my hometown in TN and we were so blessed that so many people joined us from all over the world and country. The day after the wedding we spent it with family since so many came from our of town (and Germany) and we wanted to spend some time with them. We spent 6 days in Mexico and it was wonderful. We basically laid around all day and I took a ton of naps. It was wonderful.

We attended more weddings and celebrated more people and their magical day. This was definitely the year of weddings for us.

We traveled to a lot of new places and enjoyed each and every stop. We went to Philly for SWE conference:

And traveled to Amsterdam for the Onstage conference where I was able to meet and talk to our Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara!!!! She is one of the sweetest people ever. If anything you should want to join Stampin’ Up! just to get to meet her. I also got to meet Brandy who is an amazing trainer at the home office. Again year made by meeting them.

We had so many other great adventures like visiting my family and friends in Germany, whitewater rafting down the Ocoee river, dinners in DC because we could, and even seeing a presidential inauguration (also this should be on everyone’s bucket list. Such a cool experience)

Life is what you make of it. We had our up hills and sorrow filled times too. We have cried from saying good bye to my Opa, we have rejoiced in seeing a baptism of a “niece” of mine, and we continue to learn every day what it means to love each other unconditionally. I am lucky to have found the one that makes me feel complete.

Wishing you all a joyous day while we celebrate ours.

Christina and Drew

You are Puuurrrfect

I am so excited for this blog hop and this card! I absolutely love the new cat punch for a few reasons but mainly because it reminds me of my fur babies. This weekend is a super special weekend for me because Drew and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. This card will go to my husband and I feel is perfect for the way that we are because it highlights our two babies. The funny thing is that we find our cats like this a lot sitting behind one another looking at something.

I absolutely love the new Festive Phrases stamp set because there is a stamp set for each season and you can use it year round.

If you are loving the projects you are seeing and you need to get a hold of catalog please email me at info@ and I will pop one in the mail for you.

I also want to remind you that I do have a Holiday catalog share happening and to sign up for it quick. more info can be found here

Have a wonderful weekend!

Global Stamping Friends Color Challenge

I am back with another hop with the amazing Global Stamping Friends!! I am absolutely loving being part of these and seeing the creations from around the world. I hope that you are enjoying this too!

This month we are doing a color challenge and boy was this a challenge. First I had to figure out if I had these colors and thankfully I did and second I am still trying to figure out where to put everything as we put the house together.

So here is the card that I created and designed

I wanted to do another simple Christmas card and I really enjoyed how this turned out. To achieve the background I took Pool Party re-inker and put some drops on a sponge triangle (Cut down your sponge) and then sponged-off on a scarp sheet of paper a little bit to lighten up the color. After that I just went to down on a piece of whisper white paper and stopped when I liked the effect. I feel it has a little bit of that winter storm vibe going on with it. I then stamped my sentiment and the deer in Smokey Slate and placed on top of a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock. For my embellishments I used our glitter enamel dots and just randomly placed them on the card.

Make sure to subscribe to my blog so that you always get the latest updates and happenings. I am also doing a product share and having a virtual Facebook party in my Paper Gears VIP Group that is open to anyone. If you would like to join all you have to do is ask 🙂

Make sure to keep hoping along!
