This was such a fun sketch and when I saw it I knew that I would have to use the starburst out of the perpetual birthday stamp set. I wanted this to really pop off the page and I think I achieved that.
Here is the sketch:
And then here is my card:
To give it that brushed water colored look I took a sponge and sponged on the blue. Again this was super simple and would make a great card to send to someone to brighten their day.

Ahhh we are already a few weeks into January and I hope that you are still going strong on your Resolutions or Goals!! I also hope that one of your goals was to create and craft more. To continue to bring you inspiration I am participating in the Global Design Project again and hope that you will start to play along with me to. This is the challenge for this week:
This challenge was a real challenge for me because I just do not have that many silver items. So while I was trying to figure out what to do, it hit me that we had silver in our December Paper Pumpkin kit!!! So that is what I used for the arrow and the silver circles around the card. This was another simple card that can go to anyone that you are thankful for.
Again here is my card:
My free choice color is Night of Navy. Again if you have followed any of my Plan with Me videos on Youtube you will have noticed that this is the year of arrows for me and I am totally obsessed with them. So it was the perfect touch to this card. Make sure to check out all the supplies that I used to create this simple card. I always love the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set but sometimes forget to use it. It just makes an amazing background and can be used for so many different things.
Also do not forget that if you purchase anything from my Online Store to make sure you use the Hostess code for this month. You will receive a special inspiration item from me.
I hope you have a wonderful day and make sure to like me on Social Media. Just search Paper Gears on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter and always be the first to know what is going on!

And here is the sketch that I was going for:
I really wanted to do something a little different and looked through all my stamps. I really love the Tuscany Vineyard stamp that you may have missed in the Annaul Catalog. I loved this set when I purcahsed it but this is the first time that I have ever used it (insert shame face here). Here is my card
This card really reminds me of one of my favorite store L’Occtane because they always have so many lavender things in their store. This just reminds me of a rolling lavender field and a relaxing vacation near the base of the mountains. My other inspiration for this card and the sentiment with it was for one of my friends. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by some of the best and sometimes I forget to tell them how amazing they truly are.
This was the inside of the card and just gives this card a little something extra.

So I am closing in on my wedding date and trying to balance all these things that I have to finish for the wedding and creating amazing cards at the same time. One of the most important things for me is sending Thank You cards and I think they are essential for weddings. I know that I have given wedding gifts in the past and didn’t receive a thank you card, so I am working really hard to make sure we get all of our cards out in a timely manner.
I absolutely love our Jar set that we have. They remind me of southern days back at home and that was the feel I was going for with these cards.
Tips and Tricks:
Take your time: If you are working on a lot of thank you cards (Like for a wedding) give yourself time and take it in steps. These cards are a ton of fun to make but sitting down and making 75 of these in one sitting would be difficult so I do 10 or 20 at a time.
Vellum: Using our Thinlits I cut out the jars on vellum paper because it gave the appearance of being see-through. The one thing you want to ensure when you are stamping on vellum is it needs a little bit of time to dry. I stamp everything on it and then let it dry over night just to be sure they will not smear.
In Colors: Have you taken some time to really look at these in colors?? I love them so much and they are what I used on the flowers. Make sure to order a variety pack of paper because the pictures just do not do it justice for how beautiful they truly are.
