All Occasions, Thank You

Stamp-n-hop: Feb 18

Hello Friends!!!

Thank you so much for joining us on our first ever Stamp N’ Hop. I am so excited to be part of this global group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and see all the creativity and inspiration that they are giving. I am located in Charlotte, North Carolina and so excited to be part of this group of international demonstrators.

So if your February is anything like mine it is going by sooo quickly!!! I always have lots of things going on but I always want to take some time and be creative. About 2 weeks ago I lead our Safety day for my work and it was crazy fun but also exhausting. I also had a LOT of support from Upper Management (some who flew in from Chicago to support) and was there with me at 3 am to do the event with our 3rd shift. To say that I was thankful for them is an understatement. I really feel that a hand written card is a lost art form so I decided to create them a nice handwritten card. I also needed something really quick and that would be suitable for work and the guys. So this is what I came up with.

Again I wanted to keep them really simple and quick so that I could create them quickly. I used a standard Whisper White Base and then layered on Daffodil Delight and again Whisper White.

You might be wondering which stamp set that I decided to use. Can anyone guess it??? It is the Color Me Happy stamp set that came out during the Stampin’ Blends release. I really really love the versatility of this stamp set and thought it would be great. It was also a nice blend of male and female card which is what I was looking for.

So for the cards for the guys I stamped in Memento Black Ink and used the Night of Navy light and dark Stampin’ Blends for the Thanks and then Bermuda Bay light and dark on the lanterns.

I know that we usually try and add an embellishment but everything I tried I felt was either too girly or just didn’t quite fit. So I left it the way it was. I love the Stampin’ Blends and had so much fun coloring these in.

For my lady coworker I wanted to add flowers and a little bit of sparkle. I stamped the flowers in Dapper Denim (which will be retiring soon so get it now) to create a background. That flower is gorgeous so how could you resist. I then added the Basic Grey Shimmer Ribbon (Free Sale-A-Bration item with $50 purchase) along the bottom to give it a little something extra.

I hope you enjoyed these creations and that you will continue to join us each month! Make sure to also subscribe to my blog so that you never miss an update.
