We are coming close to the last days of my parade of this amazing Merry Pattern stamp set. Have you loved it so far? I hope so because I really loved creating projects with this amazing stamp set. I was flipping through Pinterest a few weeks ago and a card caught my eye using the gold fabric pattern in the Year of Cheer Designer Series Pack. I had just kept the thought of it in the back of my mind while creating this card. Well after I created the card and browsing Pinterest again I realized that I had completely cased Michelle Mills’ card accidentally.
I also created a video but it is causing me issues trying to pull it off my phone so I will work on it over the weekend and hopefully get it uploaded to YouTube soon!
So here is my finished card:
The products that I used are:
- Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper and Fresh Fig as my card base
- Silver Snowflake
- Stitched Framelits
- Merry Pattern Stamp set, Fresh Fig and Emerald Envy ink
Again minimal amount of product and super quick and fun to put together. Also a reminder that time is running out to get this amazing stamp!!
I also hope that if you are in the Charlotte area that you will join me for my new Open Crop nights. Check out my events tab up above to see when my next event is!
Ohhhh Nooooo!!! Are you regretting not signing up for your October Paper Pumpkin? Make sure to sign up now so that you can still get the November kit when it comes out and a birdie told me that they should have enough kits from October that you can get the refill pack when they become available. But you must be a subscriber in order to get it!
If you do decide to place an order through my online store make sure to use the hostess code. If I have enough people place an order I will give away 1 of the Merry Patterns stamp set so make sure to share with your friends!!
I am almost half way through my 31 day blog challenge and I am so excited about it. Have you been enjoying them? Make sure to subscribe to my blog to ensure that you never miss a post.
Thanks so much for joining me again today and I hope that you have a wonderful day!
Hello!! As some of you know that have been following me, my husband and I just moved to Charlotte, NC.. and when I say just moved our moving truck showed up last Sunday. Needless to say trying to find all my crafting supplies to put together a card and finding a good surface to do it on has been interesting.
The theme for this hop was to re-create a card that you created in your early days as a demo. I had to really think about what my first cards looked like and then I found a picture… uhhh was it awful but that is ok we all have to start somewhere right??
Now for the hop. Grab your favorite beverage and enjoy hoping around and getting inspired by these wonderful demos. And if you are in the NC area or really anywhere make sure to take advantage of all the perks that are out there to being a demonstrator and join us!
So this is the front of my card:
I am using the new Quilted Pattern Paper (available Sept 1) to create 2×2 “presents” for the front of the card. I like for things to be in 3 so I had to have 3 boxes. I played around with the design (since the original version did not look good at all) and finally came up with this. I love that this is a little bit more classic Christmas vs modern. I also added the mini gift bows to each of the boxes. I like the clean and simple look and decided to put the sentiment on the inside.
I used also another new stamp set Merry Little Labels (again available Sept 1) and Real Red ink. I started at the top and just continued to stamp down. The technique is stamping off but I also like the look it gives to the side of this card.
This card is perfect for a beginner because there is not a lot of materials that you need to get started and you can make a lot of these really quickly. And if you are like me you should really start whipping about 10 of these out so that you will be ready for the Holidays.. just saying they will be here quick.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I know that I did. This past weekend we went white water rafting with family in TN. It was such a great time and we got some amazing pictures. I will be sure to share them here soon. Need to start thinking of some great ways to start memory keeping all these amazing adventures.
I wanted to share another project inspiration with you all today using the Tic Tac Toe board that I created
This time I decided to go straight down the middle using stitched ribbon, in colors, and an embellishment. So this is the project that I created
Again I used another stripped gold bag because I think that they are so cool. I created this fun a quick tag using the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper, Pacific Point Stitched Ribbon, and the new Label Me Pretty Bundle. I used Tranquil Tide as my in color and I think it all goes together beautifully. Again this was a quick and simple project that you can stick some home made cookies into the bag. These would also be perfect for Christmas Cookies.. now I know that sounds early but we are already in July. And if you go ahead and purchase everything in July you can get $5 towards any of your August purchases for every $50 that you spend!
I want to remind you that if you have been thinking of joining my team and joining the Stampin’ Up! family now is definitely the time to do it. Need some convincing?

Hello!!! I am so glad that you are joining me today. If you have found me through the Global Design Project’s website, welcome! If you are a returning friend I hope you are having an amazing week!
To kick off our weekend I created this fun little project after being inspired by the Global Design Project #094 sketch this week.
When I first looked at this I instantly thought about those gorgeous new gold stripped bags that we have. From there I looked through all my stamps and decided that I really needed to add some ink to my Bike Ride stamp set because it was starting to get lonely. Since this stamp set just has a lot of great images I needed to find a set that had a great sentiment. Just Add Text seemed like the best choice for this. So here is my project:
I am going to use as an envelope for a card that I am making for a fellow friend. As some of you know I am changing jobs and moving up in my engineering career. We are about to move to Charlotte, NC from Baltimore, MD. I am really excited about this change because I am graduating from my rotational program and this move should be the last one for a while. I have moved to 4 different states in 3 years now and I am ready to settle. But with saying hello to this new adventure it also means that I have to tell some friends here goodbye… and that is so challenging for me. Anyways I wanted to make something really special for my friend because I am going to miss her dearly. We are work friends too so we usually did lunch together once a week and talked every morning. I hope that she loves it and I created it using her favorite color too Berry Burst.. even if she only knows it as purple 😉
I also wanted to remind everyone that if you need some additional inspiration that I have the Tic Tac Toe board still available and I would love to see your creations. Make sure to #pgttt001 on Instagram and Facebook so that I can see them and like them.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know that I will. We are heading to TN to go white water rafting with family and I am beyond excited. I love white water rafting and it is always so much fun. Make sure to follow me on Instagram to maybe get some pictures, @papergears is my handle if you are searching for me.
This post and card was inspired by the Global Design Project sketch 068 which is below
Also if you would like to check out all the other cards created from this challenge you can visit their website: http://www.global-design-project.com/
I really loved the colors of this card and the balloons but I have done so many things lately with balloons and thought maybe I should try and make up a couple of Valentines cards. So the card below is what I came up with.
The inspiration that I took was the pink and blue color scheme and the balloons rising up on the card. I am also really loving the shaker cards at the moment and realized that using the gold glitter gives my card a nice pop. Also the glitter is contained which is an added bonus. You can actually pull out the little love not too!
If you are wanting to purchase any of these products please make sure to click on the item below and it will take you to my online store where you can securely purchase all your products. Make sure to use this month’s hostess code for all orders under $150 and you will receive some card inspiration from me.
Don’t forget if you are in the Baltimore, MD area and would like to join me for Coffee and Cards make sure to let me know. The class will be on Thursday from 6:30 – 8:30 and the cost is $15 with adhesive. You will walk away with 4 Birthday cards ready to go.
Have a great day!
Wow can you believe how close Christmas actually is?? I created this fun and easy card for a card swap that I am doing at Onstage. Onstage is the conference that all the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are able to attend. This is my very first one and I am really excited!!! If you would like to join me next time all you have to do is join my team. The link to do that can be found at the top of any of my pages. Also at the bottom of this post is a fun graphic about why you should join.
I wanted to use one of our great mask for this card and at $6 for 4 of them they really are a wonderful deal and something that you should add to your collection. I wanted to keep this card really simple, and minimal stamping. I was also really excited about the sentiment (once I finally figured it out) because it can be given to anyone. I did end up using a variety of supplies for this card but I really wanted to show how you can create beautiful cards in unique ways. I was excited with how my gold stars came out on top of the tree. Just add a little bit of sparkle to the entire card.
Also have you seen that Stampin’ Up! is having an amazing sale and that we now have Stitched Framelits that you can add to your collection? Check out the flyer below for more details. Make sure to add these items to your Christmas wish list. Speaking of Stampin’ Up! products make great gifts for anyone or you could give the gift that keeps giving and give a 6 month subscription to Paper Pumpkin! Ask me how!
Also as promised here are the great reasons why you should join my Team! When I say that this has been the most fun year yet I really mean it. Also do not forget about my great VIP program.

Finding the words to say I am sorry for your loss is not something easy to do.. In fact there are so many cards out there at those big box stores that try and figure out the right words and a lot of time they just don’t say the right things. I needed a sympathy card for one of my coworkers and I really struggled to come up with something. I decided that it just needed to be really simple and this is what I cam up with. I love that the flower takes up so much of the card and the gold emboss gives it that little bit of extra something without being over powering. The floral boutique paper is just so elegant and an amazing designer series paper that really should be part of your collection. Make sure to use this month’s hostess code for any of your purchases.
I hope this post brought you some inspiration and that you take the time to hand make a card for someone that is going through a rough patch. Who do you know that could use an uplifting card like this? Cards don’t have to be complicated to really show that they came from the heart.
I hope that this card gives you inspiration! Also remember that we are having a purchase 3 DSP you get the 4th for FREE!! I just received mine in the mail and I am super excited. Nothing like getting a fresh pack of card-stock
.. just saying
