A Bike and Goodbye

Wow today marks my first day in a new job. This has been a long time coming because I completed my rotational program and received final placement. Drew and I will be moving to Charlotte, NC in the next month and I am really excited for this new adventure. With this new adventure I had to say goodbye to one of my great friends at work so I wanted to make her a very special card. I followed up with the beautiful envelope I made the other day and you can find that blog post here

I absolutely love this golden bags (Item #144255) and you can purchase them in my online store. I think these will become really popular around Christmas time so I would get them now. Also remember that every $50 that you spend in July you will also receive a $5 coupon to use for August.

This card really has such a wow factor to it and it was simple to make. First I started with our beautiful Fresh Fig ( one of the new in colors) card-stock and also a piece of Whisper White. I used our new embossing past (Item #141979) and added a few drops of real red re-inker and silver glitter to give a little extra sparkle. It gives the effect that it is a nice summer day and you are out for a stroll. I then took our brick patterned decorative mask. These are really the best deal in the catalog because you receive 4 of them for $6 (item #144103). I took the paste and ran it on a diagonal up the card because I just wanted to give a sense that the brick wall was there. I stamped the bike again in Fresh Fig ink and then used my big shot to cut it out. The bicycle stamp (item # 145314) only has images so it pairs nicely with our sentiment only stamps which I used here ( item #143858).

The inside I wanted to keep it really simple so that I can write a lot inside it. I am loving our new washi tape (item # 144221) because it pairs with all of our products wonderfully. Again I used the bicycle stamp set images on the inside to spice it up a little bit more.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that this card inspires you and gets those creative juices flowing.

I also wanted to share that we still have our amazing incentive for new demonstrators happening. On top of being able to put anything into your starter kit (like that amazing big shot) you will also get an exclusive bundle worth up to ($72) for free so that you can hit the ground running. I did a short Facebook live video showing all the products that you can get. Make sure to visit my Facebook page here

Simple Good Bye Cards

Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Saying good by is always hard but it is a part of growing and moving on. I have been lucky enough to work with a great group of people over the last 18 months and have been given an opportunity to continue to grow in the company I work for and move to Baltimore, MD in a couple of weeks. What better way to say good bye though than with a witty card?

I am really excited how these cards came out and I hope you will enjoy them too. They were really simple to make and a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Below I have the instructions on how I put the card together and below that I have all the products that I used.

Start with a simple white card base.

Use the flowering flourishes stamp set and use the E block if you purchase the unmounted set. I used the Bermuda Bay color and stamped them on the card. I was able to get the shadow effect by stamping once and then stamping again without recoloring the stamp. This gave the card a nice background.

I have some random sheets of paper laying around from one of the big box stores so I took the 2 1/2 inch circle punch and then stamped a witting saying from the Just Kidding stamp set. I absolutely love how witty this stamp set is and I think it will be one of my favorites and go to stamp. I used the G block for all the words. I used Tempting Turquoise and Rich  Razzleberry and everything coordinates so well. This is what I love about Stampin’ Up.

Finally I used the Bow Builder to make the cute bow below the circle. I used hot glue to attach the bow to the card and use Dimensional to attach the circle to the card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you stop by in the future and you enjoyed this project.

Stamp Hugs,
Christina
