I hope that this blog post finds you doing well. If you are new to my site Welcome!! and if you have been with me for a little bit and follow me through social media you will know that we are in the process of moving from MD to NC for a job change for myself. When I am not stamping, I am a Manufacturing Engineer for a large fortune 200 company. I am loving all the new and crazy challenges that work has to offer but it has taken a little bit of time away from stamping. Today should be the pack day of all of our things and hopefully next week we will receive it and can start unpacking again.
Anyways back to the card. I love the tulips hostess set that we have and love how it really pulls this card together.
This crate was inspired by my time in Amsterdam this year for our Onstage conference. There were so many tulips all around us and it always reminds me to take a step back and go a little slower through life. This card was created for a very special family member to celebrate her birthday! I hope she loves the card as much as I love her and making it for her.
The inside of the card is again very simple:
If you would like to also own this set all you have to do is host a party (either in person or virtually) or if you place an order of over $150 you can also use your Stampin’ Rewards to purchase them.
Also wanted to remind you that I am hosting a retreat in October that is open to all but space is limited! If you are interested in joining please message me. Prices will come available soon.
Have a great day! Make sure to keep hoping along and give Kimberly some love by either clicking on the arrow below or click HERE

Wow today marks my first day in a new job. This has been a long time coming because I completed my rotational program and received final placement. Drew and I will be moving to Charlotte, NC in the next month and I am really excited for this new adventure. With this new adventure I had to say goodbye to one of my great friends at work so I wanted to make her a very special card. I followed up with the beautiful envelope I made the other day and you can find that blog post here
I absolutely love this golden bags (Item #144255) and you can purchase them in my online store. I think these will become really popular around Christmas time so I would get them now. Also remember that every $50 that you spend in July you will also receive a $5 coupon to use for August.
This card really has such a wow factor to it and it was simple to make. First I started with our beautiful Fresh Fig ( one of the new in colors) card-stock and also a piece of Whisper White. I used our new embossing past (Item #141979) and added a few drops of real red re-inker and silver glitter to give a little extra sparkle. It gives the effect that it is a nice summer day and you are out for a stroll. I then took our brick patterned decorative mask. These are really the best deal in the catalog because you receive 4 of them for $6 (item #144103). I took the paste and ran it on a diagonal up the card because I just wanted to give a sense that the brick wall was there. I stamped the bike again in Fresh Fig ink and then used my big shot to cut it out. The bicycle stamp (item # 145314) only has images so it pairs nicely with our sentiment only stamps which I used here ( item #143858).
The inside I wanted to keep it really simple so that I can write a lot inside it. I am loving our new washi tape (item # 144221) because it pairs with all of our products wonderfully. Again I used the bicycle stamp set images on the inside to spice it up a little bit more.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that this card inspires you and gets those creative juices flowing.
I also wanted to share that we still have our amazing incentive for new demonstrators happening. On top of being able to put anything into your starter kit (like that amazing big shot) you will also get an exclusive bundle worth up to ($72) for free so that you can hit the ground running. I did a short Facebook live video showing all the products that you can get. Make sure to visit my Facebook page here

I hope that your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as mine. I spent the week with hosting my parents and we also had the chance to go to Philadelphia. Now we are heading into one of the most wonderful time of the year. We have our tree up and sparkling and I put together my advent calendar. One of the things that I created for better memory keeping is pre-made scrapbook pages. I love our Project Life system and kit but there is just something fantastic about having hand made scrapbook pages. Coming in January I will start offering these classes in person too or as a To-Go kit. Make sure to check back soon for all the calendar events that I have planned for the new year.
Tips and Tricks
- I used the purple to frame my pictures. I wanted it to be a little larger than my pictures. The dimensions for my squares were: 6.5 X 4.5
- The white part I will use to write additional commentary for the pictures.
- I used the Night Of Navy paper and the Thinlits to give the paper some extra dimension
It is also Cyber Monday and we have a lot of amazing products available still for up to 25% off. We also have some amazing products that are just on sale for today! Make sure to check them out before it is too late.
I hope you enjoyed this fun craft project. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you liked or what you would like to see more of!
Shaker cards are so much fun!!! I decided to make a shaker card for two friends of mine that are celebrating their birthdays. I am so in love with this cute stamp set Lots of Love (which is a hostess stamp set so make sure to host or get an order of $150 or more) and I finally ripped open my Blooms and Bliss paper. This paper is part of the Buy 3 get 1 free deal so you will want to be sure to stock up on it and you can order paper for all the upcoming holidays and even get ready for spring with this fun pack.
This fun shaker card just adds a little pop to someone specials birthday and will make you look like the queen of all card making. Plus it is really simple and you can celebrate almost any occasion. All these products can be purchased on my online store and you can find all the supplies that I used at the end of the post.
Here is how you can create a fun shaker card too:
Thanks so much for stopping by. Remember that if you want to join in on the fun that you can always join my team and we can create together. It doesn’t matter where you live in the US you can be part of the Paper Gears Team.
Have a Shaking good day
