This past weekend was such an enjoyable one for us because we got to go home and visit my family. We are very thankful to be a little closer again to all of our family and having the ability to drive home for special events. This weekend my mom hosted a small Oktoberfest with some close friends and it was a ton of fun.
Anyways I have not had a chance to create all weekend but I wanted to keep my role on for my post a day so I wanted to show you some of my favorites from the sales that is going on. Make sure you take advantage of this sale before it goes away! Reminder when you purchase 3 you get 1 for free.
So my first one that I love is the Just Add Color. These will be amazing with the new Stampin’ Blends markers and there are so many different sheets in this set.
Next is the So Eclectic Designer series paper. The reason why I love this is because of all the texture and colors within this set. Truly this is a must have.
3rd one is the Painted Harvest paper because it just ooozzes fall to me. Make sure to get it quick before the seasons change on us.. but if you are in North Carolina with me it is still 85 degrees here.
Finally the one that I love is the Delightful Daisy paper. I have loved this one since it came out in the annual catalog and all the cards I have created with it.
So there you have it my favorite 4 papers with the sale and the ones that I recommend you getting before it ends.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
So this week I wanted to focus on the Merry Patterns stamp set this week. I really adore this stamp set and I am so sad that it will be leaving us at the end of October. So they way to earn this stamp set is to either place a $300 order or host a party with me and get a qualifying order.
So here is my project that I created during World Card Making day. It is a sweet and simple 3×3 card that you could place in a gift basket. Really there is not a stamp in this set that I do not love but I love how you can have different colors with the candles. The colors that I chose are Rich Razzleberry and Berry Burst. Not two commonly put together colors but I think that they work amazingly well.
I wanted the flames to sparkle some so I used the tombow glue and our gold glitter to give it a little bit of a shimmer on the top. Reminder that you can purchase any of these products in my online store and make sure to use the hostess code as long as your order is below $150 otherwise you give up your hostess benefits.
Also I recommend if you do have an order over $99 to looking into becoming a demonstrator. We receive a lot of great benefits and now is the time to join my team! Have questions? I am always happy to answer them when you reach out to me.
Also tomorrow is the final day that you order your Paper Pumpkin and start your subscription. I would hate for you to miss out on the coordinating kits that will be coming your way. These are also wonderful gifts for kids that want to be creative since everything they need is in one kit.
I hope you enjoyed this card and that you will continue to follow me this month as I continue with my 31 day challenge
Have a wonderful Monday!
Hello!!! I am so glad that you are joining me today. If you have found me through the Global Design Project’s website, welcome! If you are a returning friend I hope you are having an amazing week!
To kick off our weekend I created this fun little project after being inspired by the Global Design Project #094 sketch this week.
When I first looked at this I instantly thought about those gorgeous new gold stripped bags that we have. From there I looked through all my stamps and decided that I really needed to add some ink to my Bike Ride stamp set because it was starting to get lonely. Since this stamp set just has a lot of great images I needed to find a set that had a great sentiment. Just Add Text seemed like the best choice for this. So here is my project:
I am going to use as an envelope for a card that I am making for a fellow friend. As some of you know I am changing jobs and moving up in my engineering career. We are about to move to Charlotte, NC from Baltimore, MD. I am really excited about this change because I am graduating from my rotational program and this move should be the last one for a while. I have moved to 4 different states in 3 years now and I am ready to settle. But with saying hello to this new adventure it also means that I have to tell some friends here goodbye… and that is so challenging for me. Anyways I wanted to make something really special for my friend because I am going to miss her dearly. We are work friends too so we usually did lunch together once a week and talked every morning. I hope that she loves it and I created it using her favorite color too Berry Burst.. even if she only knows it as purple 😉
I also wanted to remind everyone that if you need some additional inspiration that I have the Tic Tac Toe board still available and I would love to see your creations. Make sure to #pgttt001 on Instagram and Facebook so that I can see them and like them.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know that I will. We are heading to TN to go white water rafting with family and I am beyond excited. I love white water rafting and it is always so much fun. Make sure to follow me on Instagram to maybe get some pictures, @papergears is my handle if you are searching for me.
Thank you so much for visiting my site. I am so excited about this fun and super easy card!
I really wanted to highlight this entire suite from the catalog so I used the paper, stamps, and thinlets. I took one of the Designer Series Paper and use the coffee thinlet to cut out the coffee shape. Then I used snail to adhere it to my Thick White Cardstock. Finally I took my greeting and Emerald Envy ink (still my favorite color) and stamped the greeting. Super easy right?
This card would be great if you needed to put a coffee gift card and mail it to a friend.
If you are not part of my VIP Facebook group I recommend you join ASAP! This weekend I am going to be having a virtual party and there will be a fun game going on too. I will give you a “clue” there may be suites, fun characters, and prizes involved so you will not want to miss it.
Thank you so much for visiting! Make sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest updates. Just make sure to search PaperGears to find me!
Make it a great one!
Wow can you believe how close Christmas actually is?? I created this fun and easy card for a card swap that I am doing at Onstage. Onstage is the conference that all the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are able to attend. This is my very first one and I am really excited!!! If you would like to join me next time all you have to do is join my team. The link to do that can be found at the top of any of my pages. Also at the bottom of this post is a fun graphic about why you should join.
I wanted to use one of our great mask for this card and at $6 for 4 of them they really are a wonderful deal and something that you should add to your collection. I wanted to keep this card really simple, and minimal stamping. I was also really excited about the sentiment (once I finally figured it out) because it can be given to anyone. I did end up using a variety of supplies for this card but I really wanted to show how you can create beautiful cards in unique ways. I was excited with how my gold stars came out on top of the tree. Just add a little bit of sparkle to the entire card.
Also have you seen that Stampin’ Up! is having an amazing sale and that we now have Stitched Framelits that you can add to your collection? Check out the flyer below for more details. Make sure to add these items to your Christmas wish list. Speaking of Stampin’ Up! products make great gifts for anyone or you could give the gift that keeps giving and give a 6 month subscription to Paper Pumpkin! Ask me how!
Also as promised here are the great reasons why you should join my Team! When I say that this has been the most fun year yet I really mean it. Also do not forget about my great VIP program.

Did you know that October 16 is boss day?? Well since it was a Sunday I brought both of my bosses something in on Monday. This was a super simple card that I put together. This was a little bit of a challenge for me since we do not have a stamp that says ” Happy Boss Day” so I had to become creative. My husband is the one who came up with this design. I love this stamp set and you can only receive it if you host a party (so if you love it make sure to book a party with me ASAP) I also used the serene scene paper stack, which again is such a beautiful paper pack, and I love how it looks like a picture out of focus in the background.
I took a large rhinestone and placed it in the middle of where the lens would be to give it a little extra sparkle to the card. This card was quick and simple to make and something that you can easily throw together to let your boss know how much you appreciate them too!
Make sure to also take advantage of our amazing paper sales by getting 4 Designer Series Paper and only paying for 1. Such a great deal that you do not want to miss.
Ready to take classes or to join me in different events? Make sure to check out my events section because I am always adding new things to it and new fun ways to get together. Also thinking about doing a Stamp Camp where we would have 6 people in the group and it would go for 6 months. Each person out of the group would get a chance to “host” that month and get all the Stampin’ Rewards. For more information or to join please email me at email@example.com

Have a great day!
Finding the words to say I am sorry for your loss is not something easy to do.. In fact there are so many cards out there at those big box stores that try and figure out the right words and a lot of time they just don’t say the right things. I needed a sympathy card for one of my coworkers and I really struggled to come up with something. I decided that it just needed to be really simple and this is what I cam up with. I love that the flower takes up so much of the card and the gold emboss gives it that little bit of extra something without being over powering. The floral boutique paper is just so elegant and an amazing designer series paper that really should be part of your collection. Make sure to use this month’s hostess code for any of your purchases.
I hope this post brought you some inspiration and that you take the time to hand make a card for someone that is going through a rough patch. Who do you know that could use an uplifting card like this? Cards don’t have to be complicated to really show that they came from the heart.
I hope that this card gives you inspiration! Also remember that we are having a purchase 3 DSP you get the 4th for FREE!! I just received mine in the mail and I am super excited. Nothing like getting a fresh pack of card-stock
.. just saying

If you are like me you are always on the run and sometimes our best intentions get put to the side because well life just gets in the way. Being inspired by that I am starting a new series called “The Busy Woman” and it is meant for any one that considers themselves.. well busy. This first post is all about making fun Halloween treats using the Jar of Haunts. Super quick and easy and will make sure that you stay sane on Halloween night.. or that your husband has an easy time handing out the candy. This would also be great to share with your co-workers at work, PTA meetings, book club, or wherever.
I would love to see your ideas so please share them with me! Make sure to follow me on Facebook so that you never miss a LIVE broadcasting. Also would love to know who you would love to leave a bag of treat for. Make sure to comment below.
We just received word that Stampin’ Up! is down to their final inventory of the amazing thoughtful branches set. Good news is you can still get it before it goes away for good.
Here is a card that I made for a friend’s wedding. It was very simple and I loved all the blue in the card. Great for her something blue!
It is hard to see in the picture but I did whisper white cut out in the background under the blue cut out. I used my silicone mat to apply my snail so that the adhesive would not stick all over the place. This card was really simple but just so lovely.
The Floral Boutique paper pack is just so elegant and something that you will want to add to your collection! This is also a paper that will be part of our bundled buy 3 get one FREE items starting October 1!
The Rose Wonder Stamp set has the beautiful Wedding sentiment that I used and the fun flowers that I put on the bottom.
I also made this card a very large on so that I could write a lot into it. My measurements are 5.5 x 6 inches.
All the items used can be found below and if you click on them they will bring you to my online store. Make sure to use the current month’s hostess code to be entered into a chance to win something from me 🙂
As always thank you for stopping by!
So I am getting married in a couple of weeks now and while Drew was at his bachelor party and I was grocery shopping I came across a Godiva Chocolate area in our local grocery store. I just discovered this grocery store so I hadn’t had a ton of time yet to explore it but I am so glad I did now. Drew loves Godiva and I thought this would be a sweet little treat for him. Of course I wanted it to be cutely wrapped so this is what I did. I used up some scrap sheets of paper that I had left over from all the wedding invites and used the amazing Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet to cut out the heart. This took me no time to put together but he was so excited to see it when he got home.
Life is really made up of the little things and little moments and I am so glad I came up with this idea for him. This would be a sweet way to give any friend a small gift or just to wrap it up neatly.
