Product Spotlight: Cat Punch

I am here for another blog hop with the great ladies of the incentive trip. Today we are spotlighting the cat punch and I love this product so much. This card was inspired by my Sissi cat and our gold fish Anchor. When I moved to MD and Drew and I moved in together Sissi loved to sit and watch Anchor. She also tried to catch him and provided hours of enjoyment. We had a secure lid on him so she was never able to actually get to him. Anchor died of old age last year and Sissi laid besides his tank for like a week. It was so sad.

Here is the inside of my card:

To get the water effect I placed my vellum paper into pool party. If you do this you do have to leave it to dry for about 10 minutes.

I also wanted to remind everyone that sign ups for my October retreat is now open. This will be a fun day and everyone is welcome to join both demonstrators and customers. If you are in the Charlotte, NC area and would like to join make sure to RSVP soon.

Make sure to keep hoping along and visit  Teresa Snyder-Granberry to see what she created for us!

Also if you are joining me from Christy Fulk I appreciated you stopping by.

Global Stamping Friends Color Challenge

I am back with another hop with the amazing Global Stamping Friends!! I am absolutely loving being part of these and seeing the creations from around the world. I hope that you are enjoying this too!

This month we are doing a color challenge and boy was this a challenge. First I had to figure out if I had these colors and thankfully I did and second I am still trying to figure out where to put everything as we put the house together.

So here is the card that I created and designed

I wanted to do another simple Christmas card and I really enjoyed how this turned out. To achieve the background I took Pool Party re-inker and put some drops on a sponge triangle (Cut down your sponge) and then sponged-off on a scarp sheet of paper a little bit to lighten up the color. After that I just went to down on a piece of whisper white paper and stopped when I liked the effect. I feel it has a little bit of that winter storm vibe going on with it. I then stamped my sentiment and the deer in Smokey Slate and placed on top of a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock. For my embellishments I used our glitter enamel dots and just randomly placed them on the card.

Make sure to subscribe to my blog so that you always get the latest updates and happenings. I am also doing a product share and having a virtual Facebook party in my Paper Gears VIP Group that is open to anyone. If you would like to join all you have to do is ask 🙂

Make sure to keep hoping along!

A Giftable Christmas

Hello!! As some of you know that have been following me, my husband and I just moved to Charlotte, NC.. and when I say just moved our moving truck showed up last Sunday. Needless to say trying to find all my crafting supplies to put together a card and finding a good surface to do it on has been interesting.

The theme for this hop was to re-create a card that you created in your early days as a demo. I had to really think about what my first cards looked like and then I found a picture… uhhh was it awful but that is ok we all have to start somewhere right??

Now for the hop. Grab your favorite beverage and enjoy hoping around and getting inspired by these wonderful demos. And if you are in the NC area or really anywhere make sure to take advantage of all the perks that are out there to being a demonstrator and join us!

So this is the front of my card:

I am using the new Quilted Pattern Paper (available Sept 1) to create 2×2 “presents” for the front of the card. I like for things to be in 3 so I had to have 3 boxes. I played around with the design (since the original version did not look good at all) and finally came up with this. I love that this is a little bit more classic Christmas vs modern. I also added the mini gift bows to each of the boxes. I like the clean and simple look and decided to put the sentiment on the inside.

I used also another new stamp set Merry Little Labels (again available Sept 1) and Real Red ink. I started at the top and just continued to stamp down. The technique is stamping off but I also like the look it gives to the side of this card.

This card is perfect for a beginner because there is not a lot of materials that you need to get started and you can make a lot of these really quickly. And if you are like me you should really start whipping about 10 of these out so that you will be ready for the Holidays.. just saying they will be here quick.

Thank you for joining and make sure to visit everyone on this hop by clicking their name below,

Special Delivery Global Friends Hop

Hello!!!

I hope that this blog post finds you doing well. If you are new to my site Welcome!! and if you have been with me for a little bit and follow me through social media you will know that we are in the process of moving from MD to NC for a job change for myself. When I am not stamping, I am a Manufacturing Engineer for a large fortune 200 company. I am loving all the new and crazy challenges that work has to offer but it has taken a little bit of time away from stamping. Today should be the pack day of all of our things and hopefully next week we will receive it and can start unpacking again.

Anyways back to the card. I love the tulips hostess set that we have and love how it really pulls this card together.

This crate was inspired by my time in Amsterdam this year for our Onstage conference. There were so many tulips all around us and it always reminds me to take a step back and go a little slower through life. This card was created for a very special family member to celebrate her birthday! I hope she loves the card as much as I love her and making it for her.

The inside of the card is again very simple:

If you would like to also own this set all you have to do is host a party (either in person or virtually) or if you place an order of over $150 you can also use your Stampin’ Rewards to purchase them.

Also wanted to remind you that I am hosting a retreat in October that is open to all but space is limited! If you are interested in joining please message me. Prices will come available soon.

Have a great day! Make sure to keep hoping along and give Kimberly some love by either clicking on the arrow below or click HERE

German School Bag

I was so excited to create this awesome project. In Germany all kids that are about to go into first grade get this super cute bag filled with candy, toys, and things for their school. I used all Stampin’ Up! products except for the bag part, which I used a large poster board that you can get from one of the big box stores. All I did to get the cone shape is to continue to roll it until I received the perfect shape that I was hoping for. This project came together really quickly and was really simple.

Below I have all the contents that are inside the bag. I feel like I am super cool because I bought the big box of “good” crayons. I remember when I was a child I loved having this big box of crayons so I figured it would be appropriate to purchase them too.

I also decided that this would be perfect for the Global Design Project Challenge #095 because it is a kids theme.

I hope that you have enjoyed this fun project and that you will create a bag for your children, grand children, or any children that you may know that are about to enter the first grade. This project was made with a lot of love (and some frustration) but that is how project go right? Once I was finished with it my Sissi cat decided she needed to add her touch to the project. When I woke up in the morning she re-opened the tissue paper that I had wrapped it in. Luckily I was able to fix it quickly and ready to be delivered.

If you have any more questions please reach out to me. I would love to help you create this fun project.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Daisy Friend Card and Tic Tac Toe

Do you ever just sit and get creative block? It is like writer’s block but when you are trying to be creative. I know I do! So I was hoping that we could inspire and create together. I made a Tic Tac Toe board and you pick 3 elements off it (either vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) and create a project from that. Sound like fun? You should try it and then use the #pgttt001 on Instagram and Facebook so that I can see your lovely creations and re-share them. Your account must be public for me to see it on Instagram.

PGTTT001

I am going to try this for the month of July and I want to hear from you guys if you like it. If you do we can continue to do it. If not we will find something different.

So to get you all going I am going to share the card that I created and what inspired me. So I used the inspiration of the Summer Stamp, A punch, and Bright Colors.

I love the Daisy Suite that we now have but I have been so busy that this is the first time I am actually using it. I used our gorgeous new glitter enamel dots for the center of the card to give it some extra pop. I also used the pretty label punch and added a sentiment from the Daisy stamp set.

Below is the inside of the card.

Daisy Friend Card

I cut down all of my Designer Series Paper to be 4×6 inches so that I could easily take a piece of paper and start creating. I then trim down my paper to fit my card front. Afterwards I have this beautiful extra strip that I can use on the inside to tie the entire card together. If you are interested in sampling of these 4X6 sheets please reach out to me for pricing and availability.

Finally right now is the best time to make a $50 purchase because for every $50 that you spend in July you will receive a $5 voucher to use in August. How cool is that.

bonus days

Also if you join my team you will get a $72 value pack to help you hit the ground running on top of the already great starter pack. Need more info? Message me.

Have a great Thursday!

Facebook Hop: Coffee Break Suite

Thank you so much for visiting my site. I am so excited about this fun and super easy card! FB Hop

I really wanted to highlight this entire suite from the catalog so I used the paper, stamps, and thinlets. I took one of the Designer Series Paper and use the coffee thinlet to cut out the coffee shape. Then I used snail to adhere it to my Thick White Cardstock. Finally I took my greeting and Emerald Envy ink (still my favorite color) and stamped the greeting. Super easy right?
This card would be great if you needed to put a coffee gift card and mail it to a friend.

If you are not part of my VIP Facebook group I recommend you join ASAP! This weekend I am going to be having a virtual party and there will be a fun game going on too. I will give you a “clue” there may be suites, fun characters, and prizes involved so you will not want to miss it.

Hello Love

Hello to all my loves out there!! This is such a fun and easy little card and I am really excited to share this card with some wonderful people this weekend at a workshop!!! The other really exciting thing? Those amazing Stitched Framelets (That give you that pretty indention on the circle) are coming off back-order on January 16!

I absolutely love this bundle and all the great things that you can do with it. This would be a great card to send to a friend or even work with your kids to make their own valentines day card. I cut those cute doilies in half and there are 24 in a pack for just $3.00, makes for a great project.

You will need the Big Shot for this card but I use my big shot every day and it is so easy to use your kids can help with that too!

I cut the Designer series stack into 1/4 (so a 3X3) because I hate to waste and just started layering everything on top of one another.

So again here is my final card:

Hi Friend

So with this card I am going a little out of my comfort zone and submitting this card for the Fab Friday Site. If you are part of my Facebook group and joined my event last week I put out a question to see what kind of cards everyone loves sending. In return for answering I am going to send the participants a card that they can in turn send to their friends. I was inspired by the following sketch:

This sketch really got my creative gears going and I wandered through my craft room trying to put things together. I was inspired by our Moroccan Paper and all the lovely green and blue that I saw within it. I decided to just run with it. I pulled all my supplies together (at least I thought) and then changed direction mid crafting. I think my jars were feeling a little lonely on the shelf because I have not used them in a while and I really want to highlight the amazing Emerald Envy Ombre pad. I mean how amazing is this little pad right?

hi-friend-1

This was my finished card:

hi-friend-3

A simple sentiment of just Hi Friend but I am really happy with how everything turned out. Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think.

Reminder that today is the LAST Day of the Stitched with Love Sale that is going on and it is the perfect time to get those last minutes Christmas stamps to fill the mailboxes with hand made love.

If you would like to purchase the products that I used today please go through my Online store. If you are new to Stampin’ Up! or paper crafting in general I do have a Getting Started tab available to let you know the basic tools that I am always using and how I use them.

Have a wonderful day,

Christina
